commitment
/kəˈmɪtm(ə)nt/ (noun) the state or quality of being dedicated to a cause, activity, etc. "the company's commitment to quality service" similar to dedication, devotion, loyalty, allegiance, fidelity, faithfulness, adherence, attentiveness
You will not trust your hard-earned money to a stranger, at least not willingly. Trust comes partly from knowing who you’re dealing with, and building a relationship in that process. In any relationship, there has to be commitment. At Jay Ramsunder Financial Services, we have always recognised this. Our business grows around establishing and maintaining a long standing relationship with our clients.
It is important, for us and for you, that the relationship is maintained over time. It is the best way to ensure that the core product we deliver, YOUR financial plan, works. Firstly, it takes time to construct, implement, and evaluated a good financial plan for success. Secondly, because it takes time for plans to come to fruition, our long-term relationship with you is really important.
Trust: Earned Before Deserved
“existing when one party has confidence in an exchange partner’s reliability and integrity”
Morgan and Hunt (1994)
Global business thought leaders, Morgan and Hunt adopted this view of trust, more specifically to the business environment. They published it in a 1994 article, ‘The commitment-trust theory of relationship marketing’, in the Journal of Marketing. But, how do you evaluate whether your financial future has been properly planned? It can be difficult unless you already have the level knowledge to verify what you get from your advisor. You will not trust your hard-earned money to a stranger, at least not willingly… You must trust that your advisor has the knowledge to provide quality service and add value to your plans.
Relationship Benefits
It goes without saying that all transactional relationships must provide some type of benefit for each partner. Our clients benefit from our expertise, experience and commitment to their goals. They benefit from out commitment to #MakeItHappen. We start by providing timely & sound investment information, and structuring financial plans that reflect the client’s needs. We regularly review your plan performance to ensure that you’re on track to reach your goals.
The relationships we’ve built go back more than three decades, a great testimony to our commitment. Today generational relationships are evident in our business too. We’re helping more of our clients’ children and even grand children embark on their financial journeys as well.
“Our goals can only be reached through a vehicle of a plan, in which we must fervently believe, and upon which we must vigorously act. There is no other route to success.”
Pablo Picasso – painter, sculptor, theatre designer
Commitment is more than a word
For us, it’s an amalgamation. It’s the components which creates that trust and confidence you develop in us. Over thirty years, we have been bringing together
Knowledge
A glance at our team portfolio will show you the level of expertise that we bring. Regular external training, compliance exams, CPD & other professional compliance requirements are more than just for ticking the box for us. We see these as important tools of our trade. They’re what help us help you understand your needs more clearly, and plan for them more effectively.
We’re also accredited with some of the largest global financial organisations. In addition, leading actuaries, fund managers, underwriters etc. at these companies that we work with, support our service and product offerings. All of this expertise, working together, combines to produce great results, evident in the returns you enjoy.
Attitude
Attitude drives success. We know this well, and encourage a positive attitude and enthusiasm when it comes to your financial planning. You’ll certainly get all of this from us. If this becomes your attitude towards your savings, investments and planning, you’ll enjoy the rewards even more as well.
“In the world of business, the people who are most successful are those who are doing what they love.”
Warren Buffet – Chairperson of Berkshire-Hathaway
Respect
Our success is solely dependent on our clients. The relationships that we develop with clients is the cornerstone of our business. Respect is a core value for us; understanding our clients’ challenges & needs, and working around them, is more important than the clients’ budget or bank balance.
Value
We know how hard you work for your money. The value of your wealth is as precious to us as it is to you. This is why we go out of our way to ensure that all our clients get the best value-for-money for the premiums that they pay. After all, the more we increase your value, the better for us too!
Communication
The saddest thing that we hear in our industry is clients’ complain about the levels of service that they get. Communications are delayed, ignored or simply passed on, often taking much longer to resolve than is necessary. Unprofessional, greedy advisors focus on the premium only, simply handing over clients to the mercy of a call centre once the policy is signed.
With us, it’s the other way. Apart from addressing all your queries ourselves (as opposed to sending you to a help desk all centre), we’re always in touch with our clients. Whether its you annual portfolio review, policy milestone, or a few random times a year, we’re always in touch & always available.
Information
informed /ɪnˈfɔːmd/ (adjective) having or showing knowledge of a subject or situation (of a decision or judgement) based on an understanding of the facts of the situation. "the ability to make an informed decision"
Our industry is dynamic in that changes that affect the financial markets daily, have a long-term impact on your portfolio. There’s also a myriad of legislation & regulations to protect the interest of clients and advisors alike.
We will always update our communications channels (website & social media channels included) with the latest information, trends and news regarding our industry. We will also send you the most relevant news, communications, product updates etc. via our newsletter. Even individual client communications will be in a clear, concise manner, ensuring that you understand clearly what we’re conveying. It’s also why we encourage our clients to follow our social media pages.
Client Service
There’s a question that each of us at Jay Ramsunder ask ourselves every day. “Would I be satisfied with the service and professionalism If I was a client of this business, ?” Everyday, we work to make that answer a resounding ‘yes’. We know, from decades of experience, that it’s the little things that make a huge difference to service. We focus on things that you may take for granted, like answering the phone within a few rings; replying to every email before the end of the day, being punctual etc. It’s the little things together that make a huge difference…
